Ear was bleeding, now weird white puss. Infection?

I skipped to a 4 guage from virgin ears. The other day one ear was bleeding severly, and now the same ear has a white puss seeping onto the earring. It hurts more than the other ear as well. I've been using ear care on it constantly over the last few days and the pain has decreased. I have some anti-biotics for soft tissue infection. Is it time to start taking them, or is the infection getting better?
