Where to get married in Minnesota in May?

We are starting to plan a wedding, and are looking for somewhere to have the ceremony outside of a church (neither of us want to be married in a church, want to be different). Also looking for a good place to have a reception. We are about 30 minutes from Minneapolis so are open to ideas.. where have others been married around here? Thanks for the ideas!
