Anyone noticed on Kitchen Nightmares?

I think They were based out of NY and the east coast for a while, then they went to California. I'm not sure if the shows are necessarily shown in order. I notice one week he walks around in that crazy giant black puff coat of his and the next week he doesn't but he is still in Long Island.
