Divorce and money owed?

you deserve the money, after all you supported him for quite some time. here's the thing, at some point you may have to decide whether or not you want him out of your life or you want your money. when money gets to be at the core of a divorce it prolongs everything. it sounds like things went very sour at some point in this relationship. and i am concerned that holding on to this money may keep you in a place of bitterness. bitterness is like cancer and can destroy anyone. perhaps focusing on yourself and the healing you need will put you into a place where you can think clearly and without emotion. the truth is if you are truly bitter even this 20k will not make you feel better. put yourself into a position of strength and start by taking care of yourself. good luck.
