Is the war in Iraq the next Vietnam war?
If you look up the casualties than you shall see that compared to the war in Vietnam the war in Iraq is actually bloodier! And also when Saddam Hussein was in power in Vietnam no religious crimes were allowed. I was reading an article that stated that since Saddam has been removed from power the number of honor killings usually of women killed be male family members when believed to have 'shamed' the family in some way (i.e or falling in love or pursuing education) have risen by about 25 percent. Now I am not trying to raise any antiwar sentiments or declare that Saddam was a good leader but I am concerned with the state of war. If Bush had instead of going to Iraq stuck to Afghanistan and found Osama Bin Laden and killed him and his allies would we be in the mess that we are in at the moment? Your thoughts on the matter, please!
